I initiated iksvy art as an unconventional and entrepreneurial project facilitator for artists based in Eastern Europe. This research started from a personal need to connect with the art scene as a young independent curator working in an environment with an unstable economy and non-existing support structures, and an interest to highlight the new approaches and young artists in Eastern Europe, especially the Balkans.
Under this initiative, I curated several interdisciplinary art projects and residencies, collaborated on pre-Covid hybrid events, and led conversation-based projects, and a podcast. Moving away from the Balkans significantly slowed down the research and project created under iksvy art, however, I’m looking for ways to revitalize and fund the podcast ‘iksvy art talks’.
